Privacy

Readers do not need an account or submit forms. The hosting service may process technical data to deliver these pages.

We count page views and video-link clicks in aggregate by story, language, approximate country when provided by Cloudflare, device and traffic source. This counter does not store IP addresses.

To estimate active tabs, we use a temporary random identifier in this tab and record its last activity. Old records are periodically deleted. The identifier does not contain an IP address or identify a person; one person may be counted more than once if multiple tabs are open.

When ads appear, advertising partners may process technical data to serve and measure campaigns. Before a public launch with ads, review this page and identify the partners and available choices.
